So I have told you many times, your TRUK is the cheapest thing you can use at the moment I never disagreed with you on this, not even once.
However, the whole point is you're trying to hard to prove that you really NEED IT and that it is the most superior vehicle for your purposes etc. It makes for good :
The whole Troy thing is just icing on the cake

Out here in California that pic is considered roughing it... I don't see any electrical outlets to run your hair drier or your humidifier, let alone your dehumidifier you need in case your humidifier is working too hard and impacting your asthma.

It does not appear that either you or Chris are "real campers" then. Detroit you are tripling 's gear? don't you just get an Airstream?
Tent is an 8-person tent that I can stand in, massive folded (1)
Cots (2)
Sleeping pads (2)
Bonus Sleeping pad for (1)
Sleeping bags (2)
Inflatable Pillows (2)
Large container/tub of random shit (2)
Campfire cooking shit (tri-pod, grille, cast iron dutch oven, cast iron skillets (2))
Large Cooler (2) (one for food and one for booze)
Folding Chairs (2)
Dog crate (1)
Bag of dog stuff (1)
Room for firewood, etc
It fills the 6.5' bed of the Silverado. I'll take a photo of the next time we load it up.
I'll admit that it could all fit in an SUV, but for cleaning purposes, I prefer a hoseable load floor. Apparently that's retarded.
I've thought about a camper, but holy hell are they expensive. Even just a small Airstream Basecamp is $40k. Used Bambi's or the like are in the $15k range, but that's insanity considering we like the tent. Not to mention, I'd have to store the camper somewhere, then there's maintenance costs, etc.
But then I could tow it with an Equinox. Spend $15k-40k+$200/mo in storage fees to keep from paying $200/mo for a Pickup because it's "worthless". The logic is
And reducing the amount of gear means no longer camping. It's something I enjoy and don't mind taking the stuff, so fuck you.
While one can rough it with a backpack, camping is way more fun when you bring half of the house with you. I bring Aerobeds and real pillows, there's never too much space in any vehicle that we take especially with leaving room for the dogs to ride.

Almost everything would fit in mine, but there wouldn't be room for the pups. I'm seriously bad about bringing half of the house with me when we go camping:
-Tent
-Aero bed
-Sleeping bags
-2 pillows
-Dog bed
-Big cooler
-Small cooler (drinks)
-Bag of non-perishable food and spices
-Dishes and utensils
-Garbage bags and TP
-Axe, machete, shovel
-Chairs
-Firewood
-Clothes
-Computer and iPad
-Guns and ammo
-50 lbs of other random junk that I definitely don't need but want
-etc
Plus the spots that we camp at aren't accessible without 4x4 and ground clearance.

See that's the thing. Right now, it's a big thing for Infamous and I. I don't want to fuck that up by trying to jam everything in a Cruze. Stuff will get left behind.

Well. Yeah truck then. I can get by with tent, sleeping bags, sleeping pad, loaded cooler, a backpack full of clothes and stuff, and some cooking bs but really pretty minimal on that. When we camp we make fish packets with tin foil and just throw them into the fire. Pull them bitches out and eat it right out of the foil 5/7. No clean up or pots or pans or anything. Lunch is usually sandwiches. Search for firewood there or grab a bundle on the way.
Haven't brought yet. Wonder how that will go. Probably terrible.
