I always use the automatic wipers in the 2. It's the only way you can get intermittent/delayed wipers on this car.
I am pretty sure mine has it as a separate function...

Here's your update, :bruh: I wash the Bimmer this morning, to remove the hefty coat of bugs from the trip to Tuscon, which come off easily. So she's all shined up and I put her back.

The GF drives it to her hair appointment. According to her, she parked in a remote spot, next to a Palm Tree. Which was right next to a completely destroyed sprinkler head. She comes out and the car is totally fucked up. Hard water spots over the ENTIRE THING, courtesy of irrigation water getting baked onto the car on 98 degree day.

I'm highly irritated, but hey it could have happened to me. (It always seems to happen the wimmenz doe. :notsure: ). So I wash the effing thing again and assess the damage. Nobody but me would notice, but there are still some water spots etched in you can see under certain lighting conditions. :triggered: So, cherry popped on this thing after one month.

So, any ideas, or do they stay there until I polish and C-Quartz this nasty bitch?

This should remove all but the worst water spots, which will need a polish with the DA.

That stuff did nothing for the water spots on my :poorvette: , but they could've also been there for a decade, so maybe it'll work on the :poop: brown.

After all that :waxer: 'ing I drove through a mad max dust storm on my way to work. fking a.

Btw i had good luck removing hard water stains by simply using wax or a very light polishing compound like zaino :triggered: i know "zaino is so last millennium"

If you did it right and they are not fully etched, it will work. Anything that is an unknown, or considered neglect will need a DA and some compound, and even they might not get it fully out. There is only so much clear coat on these thinly painted cars.

So, the C-Quartz job on the BMW looks great, and wow, so easy to wash. I am moving to the C6, the only vehicle I own that has not been ceramic coated. Before I do that I/simultaneously I need to fix a couple of body flaws, the first being the replacement of the black splitter which I scuffed up pretty bad on a couple of curbs before I learned how far "my front sticks out." Goddam. The part is $220, which is fine enough, but the shipping is $120? I repeat, Goddam. The other thing I have going, and the car was delivered this way, is that the passenger bumper is a little "popped up" where it meets the headlight. Not sure what the fix is have not investigated. Will supplement with pics. CSB.

In4updates.

BTW, you might be able to save shipping by buying splitter from :dillerman: Many price match online prices.

But I must share your enthusiasm for ceramic coating. I washed :eeyore: this morning, and it's amazing how easy it washes. I'm noticing the water on the sides not beading quite like the horizontal surfaces for some reason...might be time for reload, or maybe I went light in those areas. Infamous wants the Volt done, so I may need to buy a big bottle to do both cars.
