The durability over wax is impressive.Detroit wrote: ↑Mon May 15, 2017 2:52 pm But I must share your enthusiasm for ceramic coating. I washed this morning, and it's amazing how easy it washes. I'm noticing the water on the sides not beading quite like the horizontal surfaces for some reason...might be time for reload, or maybe I went light in those areas. Infamous wants the Volt done, so I may need to buy a big bottle to do both cars.

Yea. It's the part of my car that's tough to clean. I feel like coating the wheels would be 5/7. But also difficult.

I put it on the wheels, yes, although I was starting to get a little tired of the fumes after doing the car. I should have waited and done them the next morning.
No worries on the Speedlines doe! Such Chrome, very ultimate coating.

Simple to do... just pull them and clean them.
While you are there, do your calipers and be amazed at how clean everything gets with just water from a pressure washer.

Where did you get the quote, Cultrag? If so, checkout SubChevy (trunkmonkeyparts.com) as well, they are in Oregon and ship fast and cheap.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Mon May 15, 2017 2:54 pmI'm going to check this route for sure. 50% of the purchase price for shipping be cray.
The chin splitter is an oversize part though.

It's oversize, but it doesn't weight anything. If it is what is, I will replace it because it looks fubared, but a $232 part that ships for $120 isn't pushing my value buttons. Thanks for the ideas^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Dang ... No "wax" and a fucked up front splitter from pulling over curbs?Desertbreh wrote: ↑Mon May 15, 2017 2:44 pm So, the C-Quartz job on the BMW looks great, and wow, so easy to wash. I am moving to the C6, the only vehicle I own that has not been ceramic coated. Before I do that I/simultaneously I need to fix a couple of body flaws, the first being the replacement of the black splitter which I scuffed up pretty bad on a couple of curbs before I learned how far "my front sticks out." Goddam. The part is $220, which is fine enough, but the shipping is $120? I repeat, Goddam. The other thing I have going, and the car was delivered this way, is that the passenger bumper is a little "popped up" where it meets the headlight. Not sure what the fix is have not investigated. Will supplement with pics. CSB.

So if I ceramic coat do I not have to wash the car? That would rock.Detroit wrote: ↑Mon May 15, 2017 2:52 pm But I must share your enthusiasm for ceramic coating.
