Turbro Miata. To ruin or not to ruin?

Finally got some of the maintenance done on the car.
Slave and master cylinders replaced, stainless clutch line, line bled, valvecover gasket, and most importantly the oil change. The car is so much happier and I feel much more confident driving around.
I still really need to do the engine mounts. And then the transmission fluids. After that the car should hopefully be pretty well sorted.

But I do think I'm going to rice it a bit more this weekend. I'm going to install the cheap wing just to piss some people off.
It's just temporary. I promise.

If/when I get the funds I would love run a proper wing. I love the look and the performance aspect of it too. But with me not driving anywhere near that level. And the car not being fully built there are so many things that need to happen first.troyguitar wrote: ↑Sat May 27, 2017 11:38 amBarnes93cb wrote:
you guys need to learn how to have a little fun. The wing is totally reversible. And I didnt pay for it. Why not put the thing on from time to time just for some laughs.
I would run a giant wing at autox for

Looks like a pretty fun little project, hopefully it's pretty simple to get at least all the mechanical aspects of it squared away. And I'm almost positive that I'll be in the minority here, but the body kit on it doesn't bother me at all. In fact, I think it'll look pretty decent with different wheels and a proper suspension setup.

Thus far working on the car has been a dream. So much better than the GTI. There are only a few little quirks that need immediate attention. Then then the car should be pretty well sorted. The body kit has also grown on me. And after seeing the paint below and what it will require to match it all I will likely keep the kit. Some smaller wheels with sticky tires are in the cars future. As are proper coilovers instead of these blown struts and lowering springs.Devilchrono wrote: ↑Sat May 27, 2017 12:07 pm Looks like a pretty fun little project, hopefully it's pretty simple to get at least all the mechanical aspects of it squared away.
