I tried that with the GTI. I hated that car. IDK, I'm with on this one. If you want out, get out. Losing $10k blows, yeah, but that $10k isn't going to reduce any time soon because German luxo cars depreciate like crazy until they flatline at $5k.

So you'd need to gain, what, $1k over value to break even? Might want to look around and see what these list for. You might be able to make out better.Big Brain Bradley wrote: ↑Tue Jun 20, 2017 3:31 pm
yes. so in my scenario a trade would mean that I don't pay tax on the next vehicle.

Yeah, so I mean if you're getting offers of $21k trade that means thinks he can sell it for $27 ish, meaning I bet you could PP sale it for $25k if its vvvv clean af, and you cut that $10k gap down quite a bit doing so.Big Brain Bradley wrote: ↑Tue Jun 20, 2017 3:37 pmThats about right. I'll likely end up keeping the fucking thing until at least when the extended warranty is up. another year of not having money to do shit.

Does the warranty transfer if you sell privately? Could be a good selling point.Big Brain Bradley wrote: ↑Tue Jun 20, 2017 3:39 pm I'll likely end up keeping the fucking thing until at least when the extended warranty is up. another year of not having money to do shit.

Placon 3. I won't write a 10k check to sell car. When it stops raining (ha.) I'll give it a good bath and take good pics. Plan is to try and sail private party, then go from there.

I'm over it. Want something I'm not afraid to beat on, that's cheaper, that frees up money for other activities.

the manual power hardtop cars command a premium still. Only now are the higher mileage ones come down to earth.
but yes, even loaded with LSD the soft top version of this car is a 7-8k thing from a one for sale locally for 8500.

Cashflow, would replace with much, much cheaper car. Or at this point maybe not at all, but freeing up the cashflow is the priority.

Spending money to free up cashflow is full Pay yourself that money on a monthly basis to improve cashflow. And you get the keep the bitchen car until you're closer to rightside up.Big Brain Bradley wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2017 11:57 amCashflow, would replace with much, much cheaper car. I see getting rid of a BMW and not incurring more depreciation as a way out of debt and increased "cashflow" however, if another car will replace it the analysis changes dramatically.

Cross posted from motor bike thread to keep some kind of track of my projects.
quick video of noise level comparison between stock and my new exhaust, intake, and t00n.
Its good for 2-3 more MPH, definitely feels like it has more pep in its step through the gears. All in all
In the video I feel like the exhaust sounds alot louder than it is on the bike. Probably due to me taping my remote mount mike to the back of the helmet to cut out some wind noise. On the bike the intake is just as loud as the exhaust. The intake was actually louder with the db killer installed.
