Car was dropped off this afternoon and they told cavallo it would be 2-3 days. I hope I can pick it up by friday.
Cavallos forgot to take pictures before he sent it to the dillership but he asures me it looks perfect.

why are they replacing all thatGberg2119 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2017 1:57 pm Car completion has been pushed to next week.
VW is pretty much replacing the whole rear right suspension. New control arm, strut, and various bits and pieces. The suspension parts should arrive tomorrow afternoon with them working on it then and saturday.
I forgot to ask about the haldex . Not sure there's really any way to test without beating on it.
Reminds me of my curb incident when the dealer essentially did a money grab and ordered every single piece of suspension available and then ended up not replacing half.

Are you in Canada ? Dafuq is up with the kph
Remember my camber and toe were way out of wack after the old lady hit me. Insurance wanted to see if an alignment could fix it but once VW got it on the rack they said it was a no go. New control arm, strut, and suspension bits were ordered and they started work on it Friday. I'll know which parts once I see the final supplemental.max225 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 24, 2017 5:35 pmwhy are they replacing all thatGberg2119 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2017 1:57 pm Car completion has been pushed to next week.

And I called today for an update. The car was in the shop on the lift but the tech assigned to it wasn't working today.
Today was day 48 without it.

Dillership still can't get the alignment right. He said it's close but not prefect. They ordered a new knuckle which should be there today or tomorrow. If that doesn't fix it he believes it may be the rear subframe that's bent.
I can't believe this is still going on.

Someone has to pay for the monthly note for the days you don't have it. Because whatever you're paying you're not getting a return on that investment because you aren't able to use it

I've made 2 payments on it since it's been out of my possession. I thought about going after the payments but the car is financed so I don't think they'd pay up. If it was a lease I definitely would have.

I'd be more focused on the diminished value claim. The wrxfag got 7k for his rustang. That sure as hell beats any payments or whatnot, and that's a true legally enforceable settlement.
Payments are irrelevant since it'll turn into a birch fest between insurance claiming shop is incompetent and taking too long etc.
This. Insurance cancelled my rental on June 2nd so they think the car should've been done long ago. Once it finally is complete, I'm just going to let the body shop sort it out with the nationwide.max225 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 26, 2017 11:07 amI'd be more focused on the diminished value claim. I have a feeling they're going to lowball me big time on diminished value. How the hell did he get $7k on an ecoboost rustang?
