I'm actually legit curious about this. If it'll be a 320i bumper. I think there's a solid 25% chance.
Yea probably...

And if it's not, there's a 90% chance it'll be a regular 335 bumper.

1pm update
Color is currently listed as "lipid blue" and bumper is still listed as 335i. I'm going to email them back to let them know...
:mahtroy: luck...

Also Nigerian ended up with "access" insurance all the sudden ? :wtf: so now I had to pay the god damn deductible and wait for it to come back.

That's gonna wreck my cash flow for the month.

Keep it through your insurance. They will go after Mr Nigeria and you don't have to worry about it, you'll get the deductible back.

Nigerian didn't have insurance and bought it. At least there's that I guess.

Oh hell yeah, I have 0 interest in Nigerian get rich schemes... I just don't want it on my insurance record, but it looks like there is no avoiding it now, I was also hoping not to pay $500 only to wait 2 months to get it back if ever...

Just called insurance agent... he told me they are going after him, since they corroborated my story with driver #1 and deemed us both not at fault. Other insurance hasn't accepted responsibility yet...

technically I could get a rental, but I think at this point it is more of a hassle than it is worth. I'll have to wait and see what happens next...

I don't see them delivering the car on 8/25. No fking way.

Speaking of... I sent "Christina" my lovely inept bodyshop estimator an email telling her that if they are about to order a bumper for a 335i (South Africa) they are about to get the wrong parts... or maybe this thing is all one giant African ponzi scheme.

We shall see if she replies back.

That's a good amount of shine for an old car. Does this one have Nigerian repellent?
I'd almost be down for buffing and waxing that car just to see how good it could look. Great fkn car!

I don't think buffing is a good thing to do for the longevity Of the paint as you're literally cutting a layer of clearcoat off.

Not sure how much is left on this thing. It certainly has all of it but still

Or maybe some JDM as fuq aftermarket rear bumper, he didn't read the fine print on his policy.

That looks more like taking place in one of the asian countries, like thailand, judging by the people and license plate shape. Unfortunately, that's pretty much the quality they can get.

max225 wrote: Tue Aug 22, 2017 12:47 pm Also random update. I haven't truly driven the Crown Vic in a while... some observations.

Let's start with the good.
1. It still idles better than my 335i, you can't tell the engine is on period.
2. Less road/wind/outside noise when driving (385k miles be damned it is still :impressive: )
3. No new "issues" surfaced...

The bad
1. My fucking dad is not super good when it comes to keeping a vehicle clean, 5 half empty fucking water bottles in the car, a jacket, box of tissues, portable nav, 30 different maps and a few CDs (what are those). I will never understand the water bottle bs :triggered: not like you're dying of thirst in the sahara desert.
2. The alignment is off, seems to be a bit worse than before... car changes a lane in less than 5 seconds when I take my hands off the wheel
3. The steering is just :disgust: i forgot about this... my BMW is around 2 turns lock to lock, this thing is 4... no JOKE 4, when making a turn you legit have to go hand over hand....
Steer with the throttle? :iono:

Yeah they're a relaxed car in general. The 4AT is never hunting for gears either because it doesn't have much to hunt with
