Gave her some goose while taking exit ... got error ...
Error went away after I did the IT turning it off and on again.
Now came back 5 min later ...
#firstproblem
Not sure if tied to accident

A quick look on the googles suggests that it has to go with the electronical dampers. steel sprangz and dumb shocks 4 lyfe.
One :forumbreh: claimed a sensor had to be replaced that would have cost him $1600 if not for the warranty.
Technology shit is expensive. See gberg's thread for confirmation.

From the link above. You got hit in the rear might be that sensor pack in the back area.

People make fun of the STI for not having enough power, not being cutting edge enough, old tech, yada yada. But that just plays into the durability and reliability of the car. There really isn't much that goes wrong on these aside from the once-in-a-blue-moon engine issue from a :forumbreh: that has modded the fuck out of it.coogles wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2017 8:31 amMakes it easier to appreciate the dumb tech in the Subie.Johnny_P wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2017 8:20 am A quick look on the googles suggests that it has to go with the electronical dampers. steel sprangz and dumb shocks 4 lyfe.

I like that. It's an old car with a modern interior and such.

It really bothers me when keyboard warriors trash this car for "not enough power" when it's clear they have never driven one. The reviews are very very split on this car. Some reviews pan it for having an old engine and old tech and not enough power. Others say it feels as quick as the competition regardless and it's a riot to drive and basically equal to an Evo X.Davestr wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2017 8:44 amTotalJohnny_P wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2017 8:42 am

When I used to shit on this car, I'd do so because of the price. I still think its priced too high for what it is, basically a $17k econocar with different differentials and engine and such. Somehow that balloons to $37 grand. And that $37 grand gets you an interior with buzzing panels and a stereo that has iphone speaker quality.

No doubt a riot to drive. Fk the reviewers focused on tech. Take a fkn hike and go write for CNET and give up the car life. A car is not a fkn laptop. The STi is the standard for a driving focused car vs the tech that overwhelms most others. To go even more focused you need an Elise. I ignore most of the tech in the M2. Granted its a driving car but id simplify more but its acceptable as is. I certainly did not buy it for the fkn tech.Johnny_P wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2017 8:47 amIt really bothers me when keyboard warriors trash this car for "not enough power" when it's clear they have never driven one. The mechanicals make the thing. The gearbox is a beast good for 750torques or more according to what Ive read. Shift rods that are beyond strong. Great brakes etc etc. They did alot to make it sporting and durable. Yep its a bit overpriced but the base is not overall.Johnny_P wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2017 8:47 amIt really bothers me when keyboard warriors trash this car for "not enough power" when it's clear they have never driven one. The fucking error is not stored in the system... Went on 2x yesterday 0x today. When you check "all systems" it keeps saying "ok"
Stupid ass german gayletronics. I dunno what to do... luck. Don't want to waste my time (go to only to be told "we found no issues", but also don't want error messages.

Yeah I told the GF that things are going to get ugly if she forgets to respect the curb. I have no problem remembering this because the mullet barge is twice as bad.
