I dunno man, I noticed more temp falloff on my GTI that the GS, but I live in a permanent heat wave from May-September.
I think the GS just has that much more power and you likely don't BRO out in the cul-de-sac every time you get milk.
I drove like way more of an asshat in my GTI than the C6. #flatbrimlyfe

I really don't understand what was up with your motor.... I am comparing it to my stepmoms Q5 (which has something that is 90% the same) which acts just fine in hot temperatures etc and doesn't exhibit much of any turbo lag, averages 22mpg and she even uses donkey piss most of the time.
You live in the Pay Area, ergo low temps or inland hot ones with low humidity. JONEE lives in a concrete jungle of sweltering humidity.
Over 65F = timing pull
Humid = timing pull
Stop and go = heat soak = lag
Heat or humidity = AC on
AC on = car was a fucking DOG
AC on = heat being rejected into the intercooler because the AC coils sit in front of it = :derp: VW engineering = more lag
All combined = :rage: drive home through city

The car flat out could not cope with heat.

To be fair I think my car was misfiring from the leaky valve cover gasket shorting the coil on one of the cylinders. That was from a faulty PCV which not only grenaded the valve cover gakset which is inexplicably sealed by hand with the timing cover requiring replacement of both and nearly an engine-out service to fix, but also kamikaze'd the RMS. At less than 60k miles.

Car also nuked a water pump, nuked a coolant fitting on the back of the block, nuked a dual mass flywheel and therefore clutch before 20k miles, required new sway bar end links before 3 years old, required all door seals to be replaced, required rear washer nozzle to be fixed, and went through two replacement sunroofs.

:disgust: fuck that car

No clue if that was the root cause though. It did this for 3 years. IIRC the PCV system was only functioning incorrectly for a few months at best right before I sold it.

My bumper was already slightly damaged in that area and the bro gave me $500 for it. Man given how long the car is and how low the bumper is it is nearly impossible to keep it ok if you use it as a daily

That's pretty disappointing. I don't think the car rides overly low either. Just the low hanging M SPORT BRAH bumper

So my service appointment is coming up.

The official quote from the :dillerman:
$279 for oil change
$199 for brake fluid
~$479 however I should be "covered" under my maintenance thing... even though it may not be transferable to the the next owner.
Maybe i'll ask about lease turn in etc.

This would be my first visit to the BMW :dillerman:

porsche charged $399 for an oil change last time i checked. :ludacris: since it is essentially $30 in M1 oil and $19 for a filter.
