:disappoint:

Did they say how long repairs would take?
The person that doesn't know the difference between an M sport and a 335 and the various bumpers, labeled my car as "blue" vs estoril blue... said 1 week. So I am assuming closer to 2.
And this shop has 4 stars? :derp:

Yep. Bodyshops mint money... it is insane. Also, she won't be working on my car... likely it'll be Pedro or Javier.
:aintcare: as long as it done right. Insurance guaranteed fitment/as new condition so it'll be a fight between BMW and them if it goes down to that.

Monday 1pm update. Car has been turned over to the shop.
No word from insurance, they will call me if the estimate will change.

Hopefully it all works out. There will definitely be more damage once they pull the bumper.

Update 9.40am. Bodyshop is rasing their estimate to $2800 from $2450, there was "more damage under the bumper".

Still seems low to me but :aintcare:

completion date is listed as 8/25/17 this friday still. :notsure:

Also random update. I haven't truly driven the Crown Vic in a while... some observations.

Let's start with the good.
1. It still idles better than my 335i, you can't tell the engine is on period.
2. Less road/wind/outside noise when driving (385k miles be damned it is still :impressive: )
3. No new "issues" surfaced...

The bad
1. My fucking dad is not super good when it comes to keeping a vehicle clean, 5 half empty fucking water bottles in the car, a jacket, box of tissues, portable nav, 30 different maps and a few CDs (what are those). I will never understand the water bottle bs :triggered: not like you're dying of thirst in the sahara desert.
2. The alignment is off, seems to be a bit worse than before... car changes a lane in less than 5 seconds when I take my hands off the wheel
3. The steering is just :disgust: i forgot about this... my BMW is around 2 turns lock to lock, this thing is 4... no JOKE 4, when making a turn you legit have to go hand over hand....

I know we're all :aintcare: on this but that really does seem low.

I'm sure you'll get specifics when the estimate is complete.

Because kop kar ... To be honest I am not a yuge fan of the color it is this odd blueish green. Shockingly the paint is still ok. But that is mainly due to weather and thanks to my dads at work parking schedule. My car roasts in the sun while his gets covered parking and 65F in the summer with no sun.

I think some of that is due to insurance... I noticed the labor rate drops to $75 an hr from $100 because it is their "preferred shop". Which is super low for this area. Normally they charge around $125-150 for that type of thing.

That's a good amount of shine for an old car. Does this one have Nigerian repellent?

I'm actually legit curious about this. If it'll be a 320i bumper. I think there's a solid 25% chance.
