A city-dwelling business owner is pretty much the perfect use case for a Fit. SUV cargo space while fitting in sub-compact parking spaces and costing $15k new.
Yep Fit and Prius are high on the list for me. Maybe Hyundai Elantra Touring. If she wants an SUV thing a Rav4 or maybe Forester.
Just avoid koreans unless you want to lose bumpers by parkbyfeelers.

Their cargo is :mindblown: and the way you set up seats are well thought out

Yep seems like the way to go. No one wants hatchbacks anyways unless they are lifted... so there should be some :dill: 's to be had.

City, brah. You can get a decent condition 2nd gen for under $10k. Not the current gen. And at those prices, a Rav4 might make more sense. We will see though.

New MSRP is only $15k, you can't get a 3 year old used one for $10k? :mindblown:

Shit's stupid dude. But it is what it is. They command a serious premium on the used market for no real reason. They're shitboxes but everyone looks up to them like :amazing: and plunks down the :troywax: when they could have bought a better vehicle for less.

I vote that you subsidize her to make her share of the payment on a new $15k fit $199 then... You're rich, will you notice $100 more a month?

Haven't driven a new one but I've logged many miles in a first gen :manuel: and it's slow but fun, great car IMO.

First gen :manuel: and second gen Sport :manuel: were fantastic. Wife had a second gen base auto when we met and it was terrible. I couldn’t wait to get rid of it. That’s the one JPs girl would go after.

Probably fine for her. Michele loved hers. I just couldn’t stand the engine and trans. Way too lethargic and anemic.

I imagine it's rather :turtle: with the automatic. She has zero interest in learning to drive stick. But then again she doesn't give a shit about speed and power anyway. Her Tiguan is "scary" when it revs over 3k and goes into turbo boost. Then again she did call a Crosstrek "really slow" back in the day when she was using Zipcar.

Yeah I don't know what it is about those 5AT's but man they kill the revvy nature of the engine and just turn it into blender noise without any additional forward progress.

With the :manuel: it is actually quite ok in terms of speed around 8 seconds 0-60 is the auto that much worse?

Exactly. And a used one will still have plenty of factory warranty left.

Chevy HHR is an excellent option if you can find one that hasn't been puked in and or abandoned in a field.

For the 5/60 yeah, the 10/100 powertrain warranty doesn't transfer.

Stone cold. I consider myself a bit of a car dweeb but knowledge of the used HHR market is utterly useless knowledge.
