Sport Comp A/S are in the cold temps. Haven’t driven in wet or snow yet
Also car looks better in OE wheels with a slightly meatier sidewall (205/40 vs 205/45)

The reddish orange was a good call, it'll hide the blood from hitting all those children with those all season tires.
Glad to hear they're alright in the cold. I never got a chance to test them out in sub freezing weather

Replaced goop job with strategically placed JB Weld. It’s been holding fuel for 24hrs now.4zilch wrote: ↑Sun Dec 10, 2017 7:08 am #usedbikeproblems
One of joys of owning older things is undoing previous owners half-ass repairs.
Fuel tank on the XR started leaking at the petcock. He had attempted to use whatever this black shit is to seal it - it clearly didn’t work.
Pulled it apart and cleaned it up. It looks like the tank might be cracked at the mounting/seal boss. The petcock o-ring still seals to be in good shape so applied a little grease and put it back together. So far it appears to be holding fuel. I’ll need to replace the petcock screen and drop the bowl on the carb to see if any of this black shit made a it’s way pass. Overall - hoping it’ll hold up, but even if I have to replace the tank, they’re not terribly expensive on fleabay.

Rode the bike to the BMV yesterday and successful titled and tagged the Honda yesterday street titled bikes in Indiana bring a nice markup in Indiana when it’s time to sell.
Unfortunately, I discovered fuel pissing out of the carb vent tube. Likely a float issue that I created when I pulled the bowl off to check for debris in the bowl.
