The OEMs are actually quite good. Lots of dust and short life

I'll likely be on SC-2's, but have kicked around track rim/tire combo which would see TOTD duty too. - The Firebones weren't great - not much feedback even after I got tire pressures figured out.. Suspension needs some freshening up what I'm doing there yet.[user not found] wrote: ↑Thu Oct 19, 2017 1:57 pmNext year we'll be on par. I'm downgrading to some Conti Sports.

I'm downgrading my conti recommendation in favor of the new Falken RT615K+ at this point FWIW.[user not found] wrote: ↑Thu Oct 19, 2017 1:57 pmNext year we'll be on par. I'm downgrading to some Conti Sports.

The contis are just too mushy in the dry unless you run relatively high pressures and put them on wide wheels.

PSS is the same as the conti sport for more money. The 615K+ is a ZII Star Spec for less money. Do you want ultimate wet grip and 30k mile treadlife or razor sharp response and 20k mile treadlife? In hindsight, I'd have bought the Falken over the Conti for myself - or really just got one set of wheels with RE71R's and run them all summer NFG instead of swapping wheels before and after every damn autox.

The ZIISS/615K+ have decent wet grip, they just have less than the conti sport which has more than anything short of a Hoosier H2O or other dedicated rain racing tire.
The Conti sport feels identical to the PSS as far as I can tell, it's nothing like the DW(S). Hell it even looks the same as a PSS. The conti on a 7" wide wheel at 36 psi just begins to approach the sharpness of my rivals at 26 psi on 6" wheels. They're "fine" but they're more DD tires than tires. The car is instantly much more fun when I swap to the rivals - and the rivals aren't as fun as the re71r/zII/615k+

I stepped away from researching for a bit. Considered Bilstein B14 coilovers for a regular Fiesta in order to maintain near stock ride-height, though I did successfully flip the axle on the trailer, so lowering the car a bit is less of a concern now.
Also about rear sway bar. The car rotates pretty well as it is.

Personally, I like the idea of DDing something fun like a sports car and having the second car be the , which is probably what you're thinking? Most around DFD do the opposite though.

It makes working on either end of a motorcycle much easier - pulling forks, Triple trees, swing arm, etc.Acid666 wrote:So wait, what are the actual plans for the hoist? What's it lifting? I must have missed that a few pages back or something.
In this case, KTM suggests that lifting the front end 20” higher than the rear is required to properly fill the cooling system.

Rear pads and rotors done on the FiST yesterday. I’ll try to get the fronts done today - pads only. Debating on flushing the fluid, but may wait until spring.

Part number for the front pads superseded to a new number
Forum broes suggest that the new number is less dusty and less sporty. Initial bite seems less agressive, but might just need moar time to bed in
