Tower Road lot.

Google Tower Road, Ottsville, PA. Follow it to where it intersects Fink Drive.

Lot is at that intersection.
Looks pretty barren to me aside from a patch of pavement :iono:

Apparently all the flatbrims and magazines are :fap: to this bike right now. Shame it's impossible to test ride shit like this. Everyone was :fap: to the Trek Fuel EX but I thought that bike was just way too serious and really not very fun at all, where the Giant and 5010 were rowdy and a lot more fun.

Paint job is killer doe. Price is also amazeballs at $3k and spec'd with a huge range 10-50t Sram Eagle drivetrain, a Pike / Deluxe RS combo, and :dedong: 200mm front brake. Aluminum and about 31 lbs, but meh? But alas, 5 year warranty, no bike shop support, and zero return policy. Par for the course with expensive bikes apparently.

Also all the fucking magazines slamming the Giant for putting a longer stem and skinnier handlebars saying it's a POS and old geo because of this? :gtfo: that's easy as HELL to change and entirely dependent on fit.

Also want to know how I know the bike reviewers are full of :poop: ? They claim that a steeper seat angle gets you over the crank better for climbs. Motherfucker that's set by where your goddamn saddle is, not the fucking seat tube angle. If you can't put the saddle far enough forward to be comfortable then you need a different size bike (or different bike altogether). It's entirely dependent on your LEG DIMENSIONS not your fucking seat tube angle. There's something to be said that longer chain stays affect the bike's climbing ability, but not the goddamned seat tube angle.

And then you've got things like the Transition Scout that look fun as hell, with great color schemes too...

Even the Specialized bikes come in cool colors. You can get a black/blue or Gallardo orange Stumpjumper.

My problem with the Giant is I don't love the way it looks. I think the matte gray and matte yellow colors are dopey.

I wouldn't care what color the bike is if it rode well. It could be seafoam green and eggplant stripes, for all I care. I might not like it, but if it puts a smile on my face that's all that matters.

I'm still not sold on the bright orange on the Whorbea, but every time I ride it I love that thing more and more.

Holy shit, that looks amazeballs for the price. $3k for a Pike and a GX Eagle 12 speed? :ludacris:. Never again will I buy a bike without riding it first, though.

Sold out. And of course they don't have any demo bikes aside from a Throttle which is a hardtail so I can't even try out the "Giddy Up" link suspension.

:flaccid:

Of course he could order one for me from his supplier. After I pay for it. Without test riding it.

I just wanna ride bikes with Pflugtag and we can't do that if he's got an old and busted :boxodicks:
I washed it and lubed it. Tightened the rear wheel :iono: we'll see what happens lol. I've managed to resurrect that wheel twice already but I think it's actually on its last legs this time.

Shame about the Transition Scouts. That bike sounded perfect, really, and had the killer looks to back it up. Oh well. I really am not interested in spending $4k on something I can't even verify the fit on. And with how different all the rear suspensions are... it really changes the character of the bike, so being able to try it out is kind of key.

I really don't like the paint jobs on the Giants. That's what is holding me back on buying them. Just hate the way they look. When I bought my current bike it was bright ass red. I thought it looked horrible but I got a deal on it because it was a leftover and said fuck it. I was MUCH happier once the frame cracked and was replaced with the gloss black one, even though absolutely nothing changed about how the bike rode.

When I bought my Cervelo I thought the Specialized Tarmac actually rode slightly better and was like $300 cheaper or something. I bought the Cervelo because I preferred the paint job on it to the gloss black and (at that time) decal-ridden Tarmac that said "Specialized" in roughly 8 different places on the frame.

They get great reviews. Price is certainly great for what you get. Look neat too.
