Another "Help me make up my mind" thread
Why not have another thread right? As with most on DFD, when the :plac: hits it hits hard. The dealer where I bought my last 2 GTI's from is finally receiving a blue manual Golf R in about 2 weeks. Should be good news though right? Not really. Golf R prices have gone from $36k when I was looking las...

This is what I want. A car that requires 0 mods aside from ramz/tars for winter.[user not found] wrote:The fact that it's everything anyone could want right out of the box is important.
I fucking loved that about the GP. I didn't need to do ANYTHING to it.

N55 is generally a reliable motor right. Way more reliable than the N54. In my brief searches that seems to be the case.

Are there any mod plans besides ramz and tars for winter? Was your GTI modded?

Winter mode engaged. Switched to the Detroit's and gave the calipers a good waxing to make them red again. Drove it a bit and I already miss the pilot super sports. They make such a massive difference in the way the car drives. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161203/8fc811b22086182e3d8460977df90a7...

Just browsing autotrader for Camaro's and it's fairly difficult to find a lightly optioned 2SS but I found one. It's black on black but only has mag ride, performance exhaust, nav, black wheels and black bowties. I think the car looks great in black but having a dark color now I know how much of a n...

I get 5k oil changes done too and when I discovered my oil pan leak I was right at the minimum line on the dipstick. So It would seem my leak was pretty fast and furious.

Took the car in for an oil change and tire rotation. 3.5 hours later and I'm almost done. So far I need new hubcentric rings. And at least one lug hole is cross threaded. Yea, but you didn't and won't. You'll have the GTI forever. I'm actually impressed that you got it in the first place. Last car buying experience was similar. It came down to Mini or GTI. I guess you could just buy winter tars and mount them on the stock ramz. Think about new nicer ramz later.

The 7R drives exactly as you think it would. Like a GTI with a bit more power. DCC can compensate for the ride quality on 19 inch wheels.
